1993.5 Lotus Esprit Turbo SE

Originally purchased from the local Vancouver Lotus dealer in May 1994.  This is my 4th Lotus I have owned.  Click these links to see my first three; 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. This 1993.5 Esprit was manufactured in May 1993 as a North American only 1993.5 Model which is a cross between the 1992 SE and European 1993 S4 Model.  This is one of only five cars which came to Canada and the only Black on Raven 1993.5 Esprit sold in Canada for 1993 as stated by Lotus in the Vehicle Certificate of Provenance below.  The car had about 46,200kms when I last had it.  Serial Number SCCFC20BXPHF60295.  Email me rorysbrown@outlook.com if you have any questions.

TRANSMISSION:
Type: Five-speed, all-synchromesh manual transaxle.
Clutch: Hydraulically operated, 234.9mm single plate diaphragm.

BODY:
Styled by the Lotus Design studio, the body shell is manufactured by the Vacuum Assisted Resin
Injection process and includes Kevlar reinforcement of the roof structure. Removable fiberglass sunroof.
Front and rear bumpers manufactured from RRIM offering protection against minor impact damage.
A front rubber lip spoiler to protect the underside of the front valance. Aerodynamic rear wing mounted
on tailgate. Engine air intake with K&N Air Filter located behind the rear right-hand quarter light complemented by further
ducting in the lower body sills for cooling. Warm air exits via cooling slats above engine bay.

CHASSIS:
Galvanized steel backbone, guaranteed against corrosion for eight years.

FRONT SUSPENSION:
Upper and lower wishbones with anti-roll bar. Lotus Eibach Coil springs co-axial
with telescopic Lotus Bilstein gas pressurized shock absorbers.

REAR SUSPENSION:
Upper and lower transverse links with box section trailing radius arms. Rear Adjustable Camber. Lotus Eibach Coil
springs co-axial with telescopic pressurized Lotus Bilstein gas shock absorbers. Aluminium hub camers.

STEERING
Type: Rack-and-pinion with updated steering arms
Ratio: 15.4:1
Turns lock-to-lock: 3.0
Turning circle: 10.97 meters (between curbs)

BRAKES
Front: 310 mm diameter slotted and ventilated discs with HiSpec 4 pot Calipers
Rear: 300 mm diameter outboard slotted and ventilated discs with Brembo 1 pot Calipers
Actuation: Dual circuit, power actuated braking system.

 and main engine cooling radiator with Silicon engine bay hoses. Two side-mounted oil coolers.

Headlights:  Four Hella H4 circular 152mm units. Electrically-operated headlamps pods.
Fog lamps:   Two square halogen high intensity units
Battery:         Low maintenance, 340amp cold crank DIN, 620amp cold crank SAE with Battery Tender
